Collection: Handcrafted Glassware in 100% Recycled Glass

Did you know that glass is made from sand?

And did you know that over 50 billion tons of sand are extracted every year — more than double what all the world’s rivers can naturally replenish?

This extraction is damaging coastlines, rivers, and fragile habitats for countless species. At Coati Home® we protect these ecosystems by using only 100% recycled glass.

Protecting Biodiversity, One Glass at a Time

To protect the rich biodiversity of our rivers, beaches, and coastlines At Coati Home®, we use only 100% recycled glass, cutting down on sand extraction and leaving, quite literally, more than just a grain of sand behind.

The CO₂ Savings of Recycled Glass

By using 100% recycled glass instead of sand, we reduce CO₂ emissions by 58% (FEVE LCA), since recycled glass takes less energy to melt and process.

In other words, every ton of recycled glass prevents around 670 kg of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere—that’s like running more than 1,100 loads of laundry.
